Hello,

I would like to install perfmon2 in Mac OS X 10.7.3. I was wondering if Mac OS
is supported at all?

$ uname -a
Darwin Macintosh-4.local 11.3.0 Darwin Kernel Version 11.3.0: Thu Jan 12
18:47:41 PST 2012; root:xnu-1699.24.23~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

I couldn't get the Makefile to work correctly generating shared library i.e.
with configuration parameter CONFIG_PFMLIB_SHARED?=y. The output becomes:
$ make clean && make BITMODE=64 install
...
building: libpfm.a
mkdir -p /usr/local/lib
install -m 644 libpfm.a /usr/local/lib
install  /usr/local/lib
usage: install [-bCcpSsv] [-B suffix] [-f flags] [-g group] [-m mode]
               [-o owner] file1 file2
       install [-bCcpSsv] [-B suffix] [-f flags] [-g group] [-m mode]
               [-o owner] file1 ... fileN directory
       install -d [-v] [-g group] [-m mode] [-o owner] directory ...
make[1]: *** [install] Error 64
make: *** [install] Error 2

Can anyone advice what's wrong here? in the second install attempt nothing is
passed as install input.

TIA,
Best regards,
Giovanni
