I have release version 4.9.0 for libpfm4.
This release contains many updates and support for new hardware.
Highlights:

* IBM Power9 core PMU support
* Intel Skylake X core PMU support
* AMD Fam17h (Zen) core PMU
* AMD Fam16h (Jaguar) core PMU
* many event table updates
* many bug fixes
* a new branch_smpl.c example
* fixed rdpmc example
* support for 38-bit raw umasks for Intel X86
Thanks to all the contributors.
I will make a new release as soon as I finish adding support for Skylake X
uncore PMU. It is already 70% complete now.
