Well, there goes PAPI support for Perfmon2 with the upcoming PAPI 3.5 release. :-(
Stefane, could you please keep the old snapshot of PFM around for PAPI users sake. Why don't they make useful suggestions, like being able to declare the sample buffer outside of the create/load context call or removing the load/create pair altogether. These changes maybe LKML friendly, but they do not make programming the API any more flexible or robust. Argh. Oh well, whatever they say, as long as they accept the damn thing in the kernel.
