Runing overflow_force_software on my Montecito machines, gives me:

handler(0 ) Overflow at 0x40000000000040d0 overflow_vector=0x10!

twenty times, then nothing, when I press enter I get
PAPI Error: read(1): short 56 vs. 91648 bytes.
PAPI Error: unexpected msg type 10.
PAPI Error: pfm_restart(0): not supported.

So probably just like you.

what is this program supposed to do anyway?
