Hi, I compiled a stock kernel 2.6.21, patched with the latest perfmon2 kernel patch. I am running this kernel on a Pentium M.
I then compiled libpfm-3.2-070507. When I execute the example "self", I am getting the following error message. [EMAIL PROTECTED] examples]$ ./self Your kernel does not have performance monitoring support! At the same time, the following messages are appended to /var/log/messages. May 21 22:17:44 sirius kernel: perfmon: no Local APIC, unsupported May 21 22:17:44 sirius kernel: perfmon: Intel P6 processor Family PMU detection failed May 21 22:17:44 sirius modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting perfmon_p6 (/lib/modules/2.6.21-1_HPM/kernel/arch/i386/perfmon/perfmon_p6.ko): Invalid argument Similar things happen for the other examples. Any idea or hint what is going wrong here ?
