I added the support for Plaid a couple of years back - it definitely worked
back then. Sorry to say that I haven't been an active perkeep user in the
past year or so (alas!), but this post caught my eye and I feel some
responsibility.

I'm tied up with other work right now, but could try to update this in a
couple of weeks. Alternatively, I'm happy to look at any PRs, if you want
to update it yourself.
