Hari sabtu Sabtu, 23 Februari 2008 Lafadl Initiatives menyelengarakan diskusi bulanan dengan tema "Supremasi Amerika Serikat Di Era War on Terrorism". Menjadi pembicara pada diskusi ini adalah Shohib Masykur, peneliti Lafadl Initiatives. Diskusi akan berlangsung di di Rumah Lafadl, Jl. Dayu Baru 1A, Sinduharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman, mulai pukul 10.00 WIB. Abstraksi Pasca Tragedi nine-eleven, Amerika Serikat melalui Presiden Bush melancarkan kampanye perang melawan terorisme. Segera setelah itu dunia seakan terbagi menjadi dua: teroris dan kontra-teroris. Either you are with us or with terrorists, sebuah oposisi biner yang luar biasa diwacanakan oleh Presiden Bush: kita (yang damai) dan mereka (yang teroris). Pertempuran melawan terorisme kemudian diidentikkan dengan perjuangan menciptakan perdamaian. Yang tidak mendukung perjuangan melawan terorisme berarti anti-perdamaian. Bush, campaigning "War On Terrorism". After that, the world is likely divided by two sides: terrorists and counter-terrorists. Either you are with us or with terrorists is the binary opposition which is campaigned by Mr. Bush: We (The Peacefull) and They (The Terrorists). War on terrorism, then, is identified with struggle for make peacefull. Anyone that isn't support for War on terrorism is meant as anti peacefull.
