compile/install perl 32-bit in Itanium ia64 machine

Hi All,
       some of my old applications needs perl 32-bit 
in my Itanium2 ia64 machines running Redhat Linux Advanced 
server 2.1, is it possible to compile
and install Perl 32-bit in Itanium, if yes what are
the configuration options?, I couldn't find any info 
about this.
