Grüezi miteinand,

Welcome to the newly re-homed perl-gecdcom list.

You should all have received Bill's last message to the old list. If
you are reading this, then you have been successfully transferred over
to the new list. I have included the administrative commands for the
list at the end of this message, but if all else fails feel free to
contact me with any list problems.

The new address for posting to the list is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I don't propose to change anything concerning the nature of this list.
It seems to have worked well over a number of years and I hope it will
continue to do so. I'd like to publicly thank Bill for setting up the
original list and for managing it so well for so many years.

You will notice a few minor changes now the list is hosted at perl.org.
Probably most noticeable will be that the subject will no longer have
[PG] prepended. (I have deliberately left it in the subject of this
message.) If you were using that for filtering purposes, please select
one of the other headers for that purpose. Also important is that the
Reply-To header is no longer munged. This means that in order for your
replies to reach the list you will need to do a reply to all, or a group
reply.

I realise that these differences may cause a little inconvenience or
confusion initially, but they are not going to change, so let's not
clutter the list with meta discussions on the topic.

As compensation, we should eventually get list archives, NNTP access and
an RSS RDF feed.

Take a moment to familiarise yourselves with the commands below, if they
are not already familiar to you, and archive this message for reference.

Once again, my thanks to Bill for all his work. We now return you to
your regularly scheduled Perl and and GEDCOM discussion.

For addition or removal of addresses, I'll send a confirmation
