Howdy Again...! My appologies...! I went to manually add Authen::SASL to TOC and found it was there. Must be cross-eyed. But other statements still hold true... Broken links and NET::SMTP auto inclusion. Thanks Pete Rudenko ----- Original Message ----- From: Pete & Terri Rudenko To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, April 03, 2005 9:03 AM Subject: Authen::SASL - Problems / Irritations Howdy... Simple things done easily...! Yea...! Sure...! 'Evolving', 'public domain' Perl is quite challenging at times, always due to our programmer mentality, lack of well organized docs. This is especially true, because Perl has tentacles into just about everything PC. So there's so much more trouble one can get into...! We put rats thru mazes, then we put robot mice thru mazes, now, Perl puts people thru mazes... :-) Spent days, on & off, trying to do NET::SMTP. Finally, happened on a Web page somewhere mentioning Authen::SASL needs to be installed. Haleluya...! ______________________________________ Any way to state that in NET::SMTP docs...? Or better yet just include it in distribution...! Or 'require' it if a '$smtp->auth' issued...? ALSO... Active State 5.8.6 PPM is not being installed, Authen::SASL into their TOC (Table Of Contents) index. Found X:/Perl/html/site/lib/Authen/SASL.html by saving the PPM installation log. Lastly, linked manpages are nowhere to be found. a) Authen::SASL::Perl manpage b) Authen::SASL::Cyrus manpage Thanks Pete Rudenko X:\>Perl -v This is perl, v5.8.6 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread (with 3 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) Copyright 1987-2004, Larry Wall Binary build 811 provided by ActiveState Corp. http://www.ActiveState.com ActiveState is a division of Sophos.
