GSSAPI is currently only supported by Authen::SASL::Cyrus.

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Authen::SASL::Cyrus is a
source of much grief for many - even the 'working' version causes us the
occasional problem. Would a patch which implemented GSSAPI for
Authen::SASL::Perl be taken? The code would be native perl, but would
introduce a dependency on the GSSAPI Perl module (which is an XS shim).

Hm, the only problem I've had with the current Authen::SASL::Cyrus is on systems with multiple interfaces when doing a persistent search, the filehandle gets lost. And I'm not entirely sure that is Authen::SASL::Cyrus or a bug in Net::LDAP (I need to test that via an anonymous bind).

What problems have you had?
