You wont face a problem if you are connecting on Outlook over IMAP or SMTP\POP3, how ever exchange 2007 mailboxes created by setting few attributes won't be usable using Outlook Web Access or from mobile device.
That's what I observed, in case you are able to get beyond this issue do let me know, I have already spent many hours struggling get those mail boxes work with OWA \ Mobile device.
