I'll try giving some time to this as well. In our environment we've got a mish-mosh of scripts I wrote over the last 10 years that are sorely in need of refactoring, reordering and, in some cases, retirement. It will be good to see how others have handled the same issues I've run across (dealing with nicknames and weird character sets has been my own personal hell for years). My stuff has also been way too specific to the eccentricities of how things developed in our company.
