I suspect it may depend on your DD card.  Consult the C runtime Redbook
subject on fopen() for further detail examples.

I do recall that the test.pl could not test things like submitted JES jobs
since it could assume that everyone had set up their JES spool so as to
accept ftp jobs (that would also have made Net::Ftp a PREREQ_PM for
installing OS390::Stdio.

The documentation implies that you can do an 'mvsopen' by DD name, but it
doesn't work.  The format is mvsopen("DD:MYDD","r").  Can someone confirm
whether or not this is supposed to work?  Opening by dataset name rather
than DD name works fine.
