Maybe daily or weekly reminders would be helpful, because I know most of the time when I go home from work I rarely to almost never thing about the Phalanx project. I just think there is a huge lack of communication between Hoplites. It would be nice to have a system where you can ask other hoplites for help, sort of like our own forum apart of PerlQA, where since we are programmers we could make a site where we can track status and ask for help in a central location.
I would be willing to work on something like this if anyone else is and let someone else work on Params::Validate until the "Web Phalanx" project is done, or if people feel there is a need for such a system. > -----Original Message----- > From: Andy Lester [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, May 07, 2004 10:32 AM > To: James.FitzGibbon > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: How can I get involved in the Phalanx Project > > > On Fri, May 07, 2004 at 08:12:32AM -0500, James.FitzGibbon > ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) wrote: > > > Or...we could set some deadlines...like have 50% of your module > > > tested > > by YAPC, and/or possibly have some incentives. > > > > How about asking YAS if they would offer reduced price admission if > > you flesh out the test suite for x modules? > > Well, let me ask the hoplites who haven't even responded to > my last email asking for a status report: Why have your > modules stagnated? > > In my case, Test::Reporter was sort of a pain to get my head > around, and then other, sexier (and sometimes paying) > projects came to the fore. > > Let's understand the problem before proposing solutions. > > xoa > > -- > Andy Lester => [EMAIL PROTECTED] => www.petdance.com => AIM:petdance >
