I lied. I examined the code and again and my version appears to work for all versions of Test::Builder since it was added in 2001. If it ever gets updated, I'll have to re-examine this approach, but for now, I have over 3000 tests which run just fine. I should upload a new version soon unless someone sees a problem with this approach.
