Are there any plans on short talks introducing people to the various
topics? I could prepare a short intro to CPANTS, and list my 'Testing
Best Practices' questions (which are also CPANTS related..)
I think that short intro talks would be nice to help attendees decide
what they want to hack on. Longer, more in-depth talks introducing
people to each topic would also be nice, but are maybe to much work to
prepare.
What do you think?
I agree. :)
If you want to lead some specific topics at the hackathon, please prepare
a short intro about each topic!
* One introduction to each topic
* 3-4 minutes max (but we'll accept longer one if you _must_)
* Tell us what you'd like to work on, and...
* ..why the topic it is important
* ..how the topic might relate to other tasks
* ..what you think needs to be done
* ..who probably would be affected by a successful outcome
* ..and a rough ballpark estimate on how much effort it would take
* Please keep it short and to the point.
We'll have the topic presentations on saturday morning (before we start
assembling the hackathon schedule,) so that everyone gets an opportunity
to recruit lackeys/choose their masters :)
Remember we have a limited amount of rooms available, so do try to sell
your topics well, or you might end up without a room to work in (!!).
