He's what I saw in the thread.

1.  CPANTs was not only fun, but it was (and is) helpful.
2.  "Non-kwalitee" metrics crept in.
3.  Some people are upset about gaming.
4.  Some people love gaming.
5.  Many people can reasonably disagree on what "value" means.

Too many people (including me!) forget to guard their tone (it's a nasty habit 
I have).  That's why I stopped reading this thread.  I don't want to see that.

To Thomas and everyone else (I don't know the definitive list) who've worked on 
CPANts, thank you!  You've not only done a great job, but you've improved both 
Kwalitee and Quality on the CPAN.
