for one example of such source filter, see L<Lingua::Sinica::PerlYuYan>, described in L<http://autrijus.org/perlyuyan.html>. :-) but if the Greek is encoded in utf-8, my impression is that a simple use utf8; will enable greek variable names (in utf8) already... /Autrijus/
