hello i had posted a request some time back about "how to convert pdf to text" and i got the wonderful suggestion of XPDF. however, i have hit a wall with my hosting service - the folks basically say that they will not allow me to have telnet access. this means i cannot compile the xpdf there. i negotiated that i will send them all necessary files they can compile it, but when they tried to do so it turns out that the libcc or something like that needs to be updated for xpdf to compile. i think i have had enough. i would like to know if there is any other perl based program or module i can use to just get text from a pdf file? i do not care about the structure of the text, i only need the words. thanks very much in advance/erick __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
