did u try using perlcc taht does it on Unix/Linux:
USAGE is:
perlcc
/usr/bin/perlcc: Usage:
/usr/bin/perlcc [-o executable] [-r] [-O|-B|-c|-S] [-log log] [source[.pl]
| -e oneliner]
