This is just a FYI if your planning to use the Lanman module for adding any
WTS features to user accounts.
I recently wrote a Perl script to add an entry into the "Windows Terminal
Server Home Directories" field for approximately 12500 user accounts on a
NT4 PDC. This was the PDC for a worldwide corporation with BDCs located at
all remote sites. Since this PDC was not a WTS, the fields for WTS in the
SAM schema must have not been present; consequently, the SAM database grew
extensively. I started with a 25MB SAM and ended with a 63MB SAM and the
only data I added to the field was "D:\homedir". However, each addition
added around 3.04KB of data per user account. Normally, this is not be a
problem and would happen whether you are using Perl or the Terminal Server
User Manager. My problem with this situation existed on the BDCs with their
maximum registry size set around 30MB. When the PDC started replicating the
SAM to all the BDCs, they began to crash. Each BDC had to have the maximum
registry size reset (I used 100MB). So, before you make any mass changes,
such as I did, make sure prepare for an increased registry size on the
Domain Controllers.
