Memory Usage monitor

Is there any module available at CPAN or anywhere else to probe into the system memory and give the exact mem usage at a particular time. What i want to do is have a time counter in mili seconds ( Incremented by say 500 ms every time ), and have the value of the memory usage for every value of the time counter. Pipe this data into an excel table, and then mebe generate a graph out of it.   Cheers Neeraj
