I believe you can do something like this (but I can't test it right now):

$string =~ s/[^\d]//g; #substitute every character that is not a digit with
nothing

Im looking for a Regular Expression pattern that will allow me to remove
everything from a string but Numeric values.  I could have sworn there was a
simple way to do this, but I cant find it anywhere in Chapter 5 of the
Camel????
