Okay, I think I need to apologize to the list... No, no one has harped on me, no one has flamed me, but I realized my last few posts to the list have been somewhat inflamatory, so...
I apologize. But, please, let's all remember that the 'net is NOT a friendly place, not to us, or our mothers, or our kids. There are friendly people on it, but you can't even trust all of them. Please, when posting information to the web, or to public lists (especially publicly archived public lists), do so from a webmail interface, not your company email account (especially if you're working at a national defense site, for any country.) -respect who you're working for. When posting information (data, scripts), change the IP Addresses, server names, hardcoded login-IDs/passwords, stuff like that. Please DO post your script, or applicable portion thereof, if you're having trouble, and need help with it, but get rid of any security sensitive information in it before hand. If you watch any of the security lists, you'll notice that security is never one level; it must be implemented at every layer of your application, network, user base, etc. Part of securing your network is securing your communications, which includes your personal (work) email.
