Greetings,

I use Net::LDAP on a regular basis from my WindowsXP workstation (previously on my Windows2000 system, and previous that on my WindowsNT 4.0 system) for a variety of heavy-duty LDAP-related tasks. Because you're writing to the ActiveState list here, I'm going to make the potentially non-intuitive leap that you may actually be using ActiveState Perl on your Windows system. If such is the case, and you are running a 6xx build (as opposed to an 8xx build) you simply need to do the following:

ppm install perl-ldap

from your trusty command prompt. The HTML help files that come with the installation are very clear and helpful, and should be able to answer the majority of usage questions you may have.

Hope this helps!

Can anyone tell me if Net::LDAP works on windows? I downloaded Convert::ASN1 and Perl-ldap module from CPAN.

Though the installation procedure documented in README didn't work(which seemed to be UNIX procedures), I somehow managed to install it on windows2000 professional machine but yet to run some sample scripts to see if it really works.

Ok, here is the installation magic, I just copied the folders :-)Will it work?
If not, can anyone point me to use any other LDAP module which works on windows and if possible the installation procedure too.

Thanks in advance.
