Thanks
for the feedback. However, I don't see a .ppd file with my download; only the
tar.gz file. Is there a way I can use ppm with just the tar.gz, or can I
create/fake a .ppd?

Subject: how do I add a repository to VPM or PPMI see that activestate has the perl-ldap package on the site, but how do I point my PPM to get it. Can I have ppm install a package that I have downloaded to a directory, or can it only talk to ppm servers? I also tried using nmake from microsoft, but I can't figure out how to use it. Please help.-Ken Foster
