I've have a script for dealing with the perl functions to determine
"file opens", optionally close opens, and also optionally delete opens.

I made it when users started installing applications like AIM, KAZAA and
more on network shares.. 

Otherwise, look at Win32::Lanman

and 

Win32::Lanman::NetFileEnum
