That sounds like a recipe for trouble - some patches/hotfixes require reboots and sometimes have to be applied in order or singly - all in all a rather unpleasant user experience. Best to push them out regardless of whether the user is logged in or not - a worm won't care ;-) Assuming Win2K or XP, check out the automatic update tab in Control Panel->System as well - reboots etc may be needed again, but that's windows for you. Don't need perl for this really. > In Win2k is there any command that replaces the "Run As" functionality or > even if there is a way doing it in perl ....please tell me...... IIRC Win2K comes with runas.exe as standard and just requires the SLS (Secondary Login Service) to be running, which it is by default. Cheers. _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Admin mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
