What king of client ? NT W2k , XP ?

If Xp , perhaps through 'Netsh'... But not used this command for now.

Objet : changing nic settings

Hi,

this has been a topic a while ago, but with no real solution. Perhaps meanwhile
someone found a solution for this problem?:

We need to set ~10000 clients from fixed 10/half-duplex to Auto. I can't predict what
cards are in the clients, a big part will have intel-onboard nics, but there's others
also.

One idea was to enable snmp on the clients, but I don't think that that's good for the
network (snmp is a bit chatty I think).

>From what I have seen, the registry settings vary wildly between
manufacturers and models, so this also seems to be a no-go.

Any other ideas?

Lars
