Hello to all, I have been attempting to create a PERL script to survey and store (CSV file) the file system permission's on our NT servers user file area. All of my attempts have ended up creating an entry for every directory, even if the ones below it shares the same parent directory permission's.
Has anyone done something similar and sorted out how to only store the minimum of details? Some will be asking why I want to do this, well its basically a classified system and I need to be able to show an audit trail on changes and then re-apply permission's when required from a known standard.
