Cesar,

I like to make sure I've covered the basics, so I hope I don't come across
as pedantic.

Are you successfully connecting to Active Directory and returning a record
set of all users to loop over?

Are you returning the attribute you want to search for (ie, samAccountName)
in that record set?

I've attached a little example of how you could connect to Active Directory
and return a record set, along with some comments for explanation. Some of
the comments are mine, and some are notes that were handed down to me years
ago from my friend and mentor, Bill Odom.

Another really helpful resource is Robbie Allen's Active Directory
Cookbook. I highly recommend picking the book up, if you're going to be
doing much with AD. Although the examples in the book are in VBscript, he
offers Perl examples online at http://techtasks.com/code/viewbook/2.

Best of luck!

Michele
