Thanks for the tip. Still not quite what I'm after. I currently use WRQ's
Reflections to connect and log the info. I wrote a server that runs on that
machine to hand off the data in the log file to other systems. However, this
requires someone to manually change the log file each day and, well, simple
as that sounds, there are problems with incorrectly spelled log filenames,
missed rotations, etc. 

So, I am looking for a way to connect, listen, log, *AND* rotate the files
at the same time each day. Preferrably a Perl-ish way so that I can perhaps
integrate it into the server.
