I had the same problem a while ago - I was also using 98. I was dynamically creating an image which I then needed to display. I couldn’t get it working and had to use combination of Graphic and Win32::GUI::DIBitmap instead. I do remember having some success in using a button, but not the label.

Sorry I couldn’t be of any more help.

Cheers,

Jez.

Subject: [perl-win32-gui-users] Bitmap invisible...
Date: Mon, 02 Jun 2003 16:13:12 +0200

Just a single example of a working perl program that
reads a bitmap and displays it in a label and a button, is all I need.

But I've been unable, even with help, to generate one.

Current attempts, with screenshots, and references to
other's problems, can be found here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theguiloft/message/421

My problem in a nutshell, is that I can SetImage() with
a bitmap, but nothing appears, it stays black. Many thanks to
Jim Kubicek for repeatedly debugging his code, which
appears to work for him all the same. Just not for me.

I'm wondering if some OS's work better than others?
I'm on Windows98 SE

Help, please,

Steve
