Hello All,

I feel better now about the timer. I was able to go back to the Jan 99 GUI
release after all and make the timer work for me. This after I mistakenly
loaded the earlier release (and didn't notice the lack of timer support at
all). Anyway, after an exuastive expirement I was able to determine that the
new GUI module's timer doesn't work on NT WS SV3 at all, and works only if
it detects mouse movement over the GUI window without SV3. I hope that
helps.

Thanks,

Phil Larson

Subject: [perl-win32-gui] Timer Woes

Aldo,

I have a problem with the new timer.pl example on my three NT 4.0
workstations (SP 3.0). Seems the timer events went broke on me somewhere
during the upgrade of AS 515 and your new GUI 3.0. On two of my machines
the little cursor bar flys across only when I move my mouse around over the
timer window. On the other machine, it doesn't do anything at all no matter
what I do. Can you tell me which .dll(s) the timer module relies on? Then I
can try to see if one of them is busted.

Many thanks,

Phil Larson
