Hi All,

I originally installed Perl with Gurusamy Sarathy version
perl5.00402-bindist04-bc.

Which i then downloaded extra modules for with ppm.

lately I wanted to upgrade to the latest build from Activestate
ActivePerl-5.6.0.623-MSWin32-x86-multi-thread.msi

Since there was no uninstall for the perl version i had i moved my perl
folder to a backup location and installed 5.6 everything looked fine at
first, i set my path and my registry.

But none of my perl programs worked through my browser i kept getting 500
server error on the most basic of scripts that worked before?? perl from dos
worked o.k.

Shouldn't that have worked or did i do something really stupid installing
5.6 over 5.004?

Desperate to get things back to working i uninstalled 5.6 and moved my
existing perl directory back and it works. So there must be something
necessary in that directory.

However, now when i tried to install Win32::API - it doesn't work i get
can't load object.

Basically i think my setup is now shot - what should i do, is there files
that i need to uninstall that i have overlooked.

Any insight ?

Regards
Margaret
