I'm trying to write a program that runs in a command window and accepts mouse input. So far, I am not succeeding.
Here is some sample code that uses Console.pm:

The program never sees my mouse clicks. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you!
It makes sense that Console.pm would not work with Windows 2000. Console.pm was written in 1997 and a minor update was made in 1999. There is no mention of any updates since then.
When I e-mailed the author of Console.pm, the e-mail bounced. When I clicked on the link in the manual page to Microsoft's documentation, I found that the link was broken.
