I just compiled perl with that Visual Studio .NET (VC7) compiler using ActiveState source (build 807). Seemed to go ok - a lot more warnings than I'm used to seeing, and about 5 or so failed subtests. Seems to be basically serviceable, and libwin built ok - but I'm wondering if I could have done better. I didn't, eg, know what value to specify for 'CCTYPE' in the makefile, so I left it as 'MSVC60'.
Is there any documentation regarding the building of perl using Visual Studio .NET (VC7) ? (I haven't searched too hard, yet - thought I'd ask first.)
Cheers, Rob
