Dear colleagues.

Probably, question I would like to ask is not a new
one, but my search on Internet didn't bring any
meaningful result.
I would like to have a portable version of PERL on my
USB drive. I want to be able to run programs
on a Windows machine from this USB drive. I realize
that I need to modify the PATH environmental variable
to include the USB drive in search path.

Normally, when Windows version of PERL installed some
information is written into the registry. This seems
to me the major problem for achieving this goal.

I saw on Internet a number of programs that have their
portable versions, including such big and complex
program like the Microsoft Office. So, it's possible.
Does anybody have information on portable PERL version
for Windows?

Thank you,
Vladimir
