All, I have a large long-running Perl/Tk app.
It occasionally and somewhat randomly just simply dies - and puts up a window that says that perl.exe has encountered an error. I'm running Perl 5.10 but this has happened on 5.8 as well. When this happens I am at a loss. I'm out of the comfortable known Perl world and into the low-level operating system world. Any advice for tracking down the source of the problem? One difficulty is that I have not yet been able to determine a reproducible sequence to make it happen consistently. Without that it's hard to how to proceed. Any and all advice appreciated.
