Please note that the release notes:

explicitly tell you *not* to install over a previous installation of 5xx:
|NOTE: DO NOT attempt to install over top of a 500 series build of ActivePerl.
|This package must be installed into a separate directory.
The libraries for build 5xx are not binary compatible with the 6xx format,
so you *must* install the modules again.
