Hello,
Can anybody help me?
Jenda is in the Army and I am in trouble with his Win32::Registry stuff. I
went to his site tonight and downloaded the patch for this module and
extracted the single file inside the zip, a DLL, to where I thought it
should go:
D:\ActivePERL\site\lib\auto\Win32\Registry
and it overwrote the version that was in there. Then I looked harder at his
site and saw that "Registry2" was a new-and-improved update of some sort.
So I downloaded THAT zip and ran the incantation after unzipping it into
its own new directory:
perl Makefile.pl (Jenda didn't stick with convention on case -- "PL").
I saw his makefile run through an entire install with various prompts, then
a crash as Perl ran out of memory. I get this message when I try to "use"
the module:
Win32::Registry object version 0.06 does not match
$Win32::Registry::VERSION 0.061 at D:\ActivePERL\lib/DynaLoader.pm line
188.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
D:\ActivePERL\site\lib/Win32/FileType.pm line 19.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted.
Does anyone know what is going ON with this module? Help, please.
