If you have VB then you can use the object browser, you'll get the syntax
in VB but that's far better than digging in the IDL-file.
Load the type library by choosing References on the Project menu, then
Excel will be available in the object browser. There is a combobox at
the top to filter out just Excel.
I'm just guessing now, but there should certainly exist a similar object
browser for other MS-tools in Visual Studio.
If you find anything perlspecific that helps you better please let the
rest of us know too.
