how can I install DBD-Mysql?

I have downloaded the DBD-Mysql Package.
and when I do install I got the following errors:

ppm install dbd-mysql.ppd
Error installing package 'dbd-mysql.ppd': Could not locate a PPM binary of
'dbd-mysql.ppd' for this platform

Can some body please help.
