Sorry, I have no more ideas. There seems to be something seriously wrong
with the object. Maybe you can try to reconfigure the object so that it
runs out-of-process using a surrogate DLL and see what happens. But I
kind of doubt this will provide any useful information. Did you check the
event log if there is any message in there?
Are you using reasonably late versions of Perl and Win32::OLE (like
ActivePerl 522)?
