Hi Perl Users, I could use some help with this problem from the PERL experts amongst you. I'm writing some PERL scripts using CCPERL (the version of PERL delivered with the ClearCase Configuration Management system from Rational) for compatibility across all our ClearCase installations and would like to use the PERL modules, fileparse and getoptions, to make my life easier. However when I link in these modules from the latest distribution of PERL (5.005) they fail to run with the following errors >Perl 5.002 required--this is only version 5.001, stopped at c:\perl\lib/vars.pm line 3 And that's after commenting out the line "use strict" which fails with >Missing $ on loop variable at c:\perl\lib/strict.pm line 90 The scripts run just fine with PERL version 5.005, but ClearCase includes version 5.001, so a copy of the library modules for PERL version 5.001 would be really handy, but I can't find them at www.perl.com or CPAN. Has anybody else come across this problem? Does anyone have a copy of PERL version 5.001. In an ideal world, I'd get Rational to upgrade CCPERL to version 5.005 or just use Active State's PERL, but this is unfortuntely not an option. Any help would be really welcome Dave Bush ClearCase Admin BAS --- You are currently subscribed to perl-win32-users as: [archive@jab.org] To unsubscribe, forward this message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For non-automated Mailing List support, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
