Perl CGI using JavaScript

Hi all,     I am writing a Perl CGI script which generates an HTML file that uses javascript javascript.  I need to enable Perl to use some of the variables created in the javascript code.  If anyone knows how to make this happen, or can point me toward someone who can, I'd really appreciate it.  Thanks.     Dave Lewis
