I have been asked to develop a script that mirrors a
browsable directory structure running on a web box.
All testing seemed fine in dev stage until it was
realised that the dev environment was using clear text
authentication. It turns out the site only allow MS IE
as a browser client and therefore have not used clear
text authentication but MS only browser style
authentication. Does anyone know if there is a method
of using the MS I.E. API's that will be available in
the majority of version's that will be able to pass
the values on and ths obtain connectivity ?

I've looked throught the list archive on Activestate
but can't find anything pertaining to anything other
than Apache.

Thanks in advance.
