I've configured and run PERL on at least 5 NT servers in my school district over the past few years, but with Windows 2000, I'm wandering in the dark. With blind luck, I got PERL up and running on a Windows 2000 server till NIMDA crashed the server. I'm the web guy for my school system, but it's IS and Network Services that maintain the server. However, they are totally unfamiliar with PERL so getting PERL back up and running is my responsibility. Since the new server went up, I've had nothing but this error ...
CGI ERROR Can't open perl script "E:District" No such file or directory Here's the scenario ... ~ Windows 2000 OS is running IIS 5.0 ~ The CGIs are ASCII files. ~ They have a CGI extension. ~ The CGIs execute fine from the Command Line ~ Perl and the Web folder are both on the E Drive. (Perl was on the C drive, but it wasn't working there, so I reinstalled it. It's not working any better on the E drive.) ~ The web folder is three words, 2 spaces, (as in "District Web Site") but I had Perl running with that folder name before ~ Windows is configured for both cgi and pl with E:\perl\bin\perl.exe %1 %* ~ The cgi-bin is configured for cgi and pl with E:\perl\bin\perl.exe %s %s inside the Home Directory tab of Internet Services Manager ~ I can reach and read the index.htm file inside that directory, but CGIs won't execute What haven't I done right? _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Web mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
