I'm seeing something with Win2000, IIS 5.0, and ActiveState PERL I've never seen on NT, Unix, Mac OS X, Win 98, or Win ME servers.
I have several CGIs in the same cgi-bin folder. Some will execute when they are hit, others just give me this error message: "HTTP 403.1 Forbidden: Execute Access Forbidden Internet Information Services ------------------------------------------------- Technical Information (for support personnel) * Background: You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed." There are two very strange twists on this. Two separate CGIs, both containing multiple subroutines, act in exactly the opposite manner. When I click a link to go to the first CGI, its first subroutine, which creates a web form, works fine. Inside this page on-the-fly is a hidden form field which will trigger the next subroutine in the same CGI when submitted. But when I click the Submit button on the CGI-generated form, I get the error message above. (The entire sequence of subroutines work fine with MSPWS on my Win ME development machine.) To complicate matters, a second CGI acts in exactly the opposite matter. Clicking the link loads the right address but I get the error message. However, if I hit the ENTER key to reload the address, the CGI executes. (Again, the entire sequence of subroutines work fine with MSPWS on my Win ME development machine.) Anyone seen this before and know how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance to any who can offer suggestions. _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Web mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
